PORVORIM: Stating that access to free and fast internet has become a need of the hour, Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte launched free WiFi services at eight spots in Porvorim on Friday.

Addressing the press, he stated that with the launching of this service, a long-pending demand of the residents would be fulfilled. He also informed that ‘Ethernet Express’ is the bandwidth partner and the internet speed will be between 512 Kbps and 4 Mbps. People residing within 200 meters of the eight WiFi spots can avail the service.

“Students, housewives and senior citizens will be able to gather information sitting at home. Registration is compulsory for each individual. So far 1,000 people have already registered for this service,” said Khaunte, adding that he plans to launch an app soon for the residents of his constituency.
