PANJIM: The National Convention of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) that concluded recently again voiced its concern over cow slaughter and demanded that cows be preserved and protected.

Addressing the media on Saturday, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti  national spokesperson Ramesh Shinde said cow protection is impossible without banning cow slaughter.

Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Rajasing Thakur called upon the State government to learn from its neighbouring state of Maharashtra on its strict ban on cow slaughter.

The convention also deliberated on promoting ‘swadeshi products’, use of social media, countering love jihad, remedies on problem of intrusion of Bangladeshis, and security of Hindus in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and other countries and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Hindus.

The convention also resolved that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should ‘use his clout in having Nepal’s constitution scrapped and declare it a Hindu nation’.
