VASCO: A private tourist bus reportedly caught fire near the Chicalim Circle in Vasco on Wednesday evening. Fortunately, none of the passengers on board the bus was injured.
According to available information, the passengers were proceeding from Vasco for a wedding ceremony at Curca in North Goa. When the bus reached the Chicalim junction between 7.30 to 7.45 pm, the driver noticed some spark due to short circuit, which led to the fire. The driver raised an alarm and alighted all 20 passengers to safety before the bus was entirely engulfed in flames.
The Vasco fire personnel immediately rushed to the spot and doused the fire.
