Vijai vows to preserve state’s unique feature


PANJIM: Asserting that Government is a continuous process, the newly inducted Minister for Town and Country Planning (TCP) Vijai Sardesai said he will carry forward the process to rectify and notify the Regional Plan 2021- which was started by his predecessor -- while ensuing ‘preservation and promotion of State’s distinct architectural and natural heritage’. Sardessai told Herald that his priority would be ‘to make Goa look like Goa having unique feature of Goenkarpon’. “My first and the last priority would be to ensure that Goa’s unique feature of Goenkarpon is preserved and protected. Goa should be planned for the people. While undertaking development, we need to ensure that the small state maintains its distinct identity,” he said.

I have asked PWD to immediately submit the file pertaining to Bharat Mala project which deals with highways. Proper solution will be found to bars ban issue after discussing with CM. People need not panic

Priority is Mhadei water dispute. Mhadei is lifeline of Goa and we need to save at any cost. If we have to preserve Goemkarponn we have to see that Mhadei continues to flow unabated
