PANJIM: Niz Goenkar Revolution Front, a new political outfit, on Wednesday strongly condemned the Chief Minister’s statement that Goa does not require special status.

Addressing the media, Sanjay Redkar of the party, said Goa requires special status so that land is protected and the government has failed to deliver on its promise.

“The government has never taken into confidence the locals before going ahead with any policy and has never asked what the people really want,” said Redkar.

Stating that the government has failed to provide employment in the State he said that is the main reason for Goan youth to travel abroad in search of employment.

“Niz Goenkar main agenda will include demanding 80 percent jobs for Goan youth, improving basic amenities in villages, providing quality education by setting up training centers and protection of senior citizens,” he added.

The government failed to protect citizens during the BRICS summit as fishermen had to bear losses due to restrictions he said and added that shack owners also had to face hurdles.

“Other political parties have never allowed Goans to come up in any sector and this is the main reason we have gathered to take this revolution forward,” he said.

Redkar made it clear that the party is looking for alliance with other regional likeminded parties and urged the people to support the party for good governance.
