PANJIM: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has, in a press communique, stated that though it has plans to build certain recreational facilities as part of its plan to set-up a base in Goa, their plan does not include ‘discotheque and race course.’

The CISF’s proposal submitted to the government includes plans for setting up of barracks, residential quarters, and other recreational facilities.

The CISF has requested for an area of 70 acres of land in Pernem for establishment of CISF 6th reserve battalion and it has been granted administrative approval by the home department.
