MARGAO: Margao Municipal Chairperson Arthur D’Silva has said that the Civic body would avail the latest surveillance camera technology to curb growing encroachments in the Municipal markets.

After he was gheraoed by the Gandhi market vendors, Arthur said that surveillance cameras will be installed in the New Market and Gandhi market to tackle encroachments. “With the help of the cameras, we can identity the encroachments and initiate action. Based on the footgage, notices will be go to the encroachers to clear the obstructions or face cancellation of their license”, he warned.
