An alert driver foiled an attempt by 12 persons to steal machinery spares worth Rs 6 lakh from the Tool Room and Training Centre at Kundaim IDC Estate.
According to police reports, 12 persons had hired a tempo to transport the spares, but the driver suspected foul play while the spares were being loaded into the vehicle.

A 65-year-old resident of Dhulapi-Corlim was seriously injured after she was knocked down by a two-wheeler on Bansatarim-Dhulapi highway junction.
