Cong minority cell opposes entry of Ram Sena into Goa
June 30, 2012
VASCO: All Goa Congress Minority Department Chairman and GPCC General Secretary Saifullha Khan has opposed the entry of Ram Sena in the State.
Addressing a press conference, Khan said as a Goan, he strongly opposes the entry of Ram Sena in Goa. “During the Congress government, former home minister Ravi Naik had banned the entry of Ram Sena,” he said.
“Neither Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar nor his cabinet colleagues have come out with any statement against
the organization. Ram Sena’s entry will destroy the fabric of Goa as it will disturb peace and unity among the Goans,” he alleged.
“Every one in Goa lives in peace and harmony and the establishment of the organization will destroy the unity and will lead to law and order situation,” added Khan.
“As Saifullha Khan, I will be the first to oppose Ram Sena if at all they enter Goa,” stated Khan.
Recollecting the Bangalore incident, where the Ram Sena had assaulted some women, Khan said the same will take place in Goa which will then lead to law and order situation.
Khan has requested Parrikar to oppose the organization and save Goa by opposing Ram Sena’s entry as it will disturb peace and unity among the Goans.
He warned not to take Goans for granted as they will oppose the entry of the organization tooth and nail.
“Goans have reposed their faith in Parrikar and his party and has given clear mandate to rule peaceful Goa and he should not betray the faith of Goans by not opposing the entry of Ram Sena,” stated Khan.
