PANJIM: Amanda Sporting, Panjim entered the semi-finals of 1st All-Goa Aristedes Veterans Football Tournament organized by Raitura Sports Club at Raia panchayat ground, Raia, Sunday. They beat Fatorda Veterans 1-0.

Amanda held the upper hand being in position to forged ahead in 10th minute but Rosario Carvalho failed to score after being fed by Frankie Mascarenhas.  Five minutes later, Pascoal Pereira and Frankie moved dangerously but Franky's try missed the target.

In the second half, Amanda scored through Pascoal Pereira off Ramesh Palkar.

Goalkeeper Raju Raikar excelled effecting save twice.

Ramesh Palkar, Raymond D' Souza and Minguel Miranda played well for Amanda while Joaquim Crasto excelled in the midfield for Fatorda.

Amanda await the winners of Ponda Veterans - Raia Veterans in the semis.

In another quarter-final, strong contenders Nuvem Veterans defeated Siolim Veterans 5-4 via the tie-Breaker also to enter the semi-finals after the teams played a goalless draw at full time.

Nuvem Veterans will meet Max Veterans, Colva in the semi-finals.
