PANJIM: Ameya Audi and Ritviz Parab won their second round games at Commonwealth Chess Championship in Chennai, Friday. Ameya (1813) defeated WIM Ivana
Furtado (2103) while Ritviz defeated Aaditya Jagdeesh (1779) of TN. They both are on two points each after two rounds.
Yesterday, WGM Bhakti Kulkarni, WIM Ivana Furtado, Ritviz Parab, Rohan Ahuja, Cyrus Pereira, Rishubh Niak, WCM Riya Savant, Anirudh Bhat, CM Nitish Belurkar and Ameya Audi secured one point each after the first round.
Bhakti Kulkarni, Anirudh Bhat and Riya Savant are on 1.5 points each after the second round. Riya held CM Prince Bajaj ( 2263) of Delhi for a draw. Anirudh Bhat drew with Rishi Saldana ( 2173) of Delhi.
In all, 455 players from 15 Commonwealth Countries are taking part. There are 405 Indians out of which 29 are from Goa.
