VASCO: Benfica Youth Club defeated debutants BITS Pilani Goa Campus Sports Club 3-0 in the inaugural match of Goa Football Association Mormugao Zone Second Division League football at CAC ground, Cansaulim, Monday. The winners led by a solitary goal at the breather.

The flattering scoreline is not indicative of the trend of play where the newly promoted side gave a good account of themselves but were found wanting in front of the rival goal. Rixon Fernandes (21), Clifton Fernandes (63) and Joel Fernandes (90) scored for Benfica.
