PANJIM, MARCH 10 – Candolim Sports Club entered the quarter-finals of the Silla Goa Resort Rolling Trophy Soccer proving their prowess in the tie-breaker against Arpora Sporting 4-3 in the match played at Saligao Sporting ground.
Candolim outplayed Arpora Sporting in every department of the game, especially their medios were in good form but forwards let the team down in scoring the goals.
Arpora too played an excellent game but the match ended in a goalless draw.
In the tie-breaker, Candolim Sports Club netted in through Benny D’Souza, Alex D’Souza, Alvice Pereira and Minguel Fernandes while Muston Vaz, Sameer Salgaonkar and Anthonia Lopes converted for the losers.
