Cuncolim thrash Sports and Welfare

PANJIM: Cuncolim Union demolished Sports and Welfare Club, Zaino 9-0 in a GFA Third Division Salcete Zone football match at Assolna ground, Saturday.
class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0px; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium; text-align: justify;">In the other match, Pax of Nagoa held Cristo Rei YC to a draw. Cristo Rei took the lead in the 35th minute through Chrisman Pereira. Roy Fernandes equalized for Nagoa in the 75 minute.
In Ilhas Zone, Siridao SC got the better of Football Club Neura 1-0 at Batim ground. Siridao scored the match-winner through Puroshotam Lamani in the 29th minute.
Simultaneously, Portais SC drubbed Odxel SC 3-0 at Santa Cruz ground. Kapil Diukar (22), Sameer Diukar (78) and Selvan Kalvaikar scored for Portais.
Our Vasco Correspondent adds: Powered by a brace by their ebullient striker Conny D’Sa, Cross Boys (New Vaddem) scored a comfortable 4-1 victory over seasoned Cortalim Sports Club in Mormugao Zone Third Division League football at CAC ground, Cansualim. The match was tied 1-1 at the lemon break.
Conny D’Sa (24, 53), Mackenzie Fernandes (61) and Gaurav Gosavi (75) scored for Cross Boys while Elloi Fernandes (43) scored the lone goal for Cortalim. The proceedings did get rough at times and to keep tempers in check, the referee cautioned Mackenzie D’Costa, Shirish Sail and Gaurav Gawas of Cross Boys and Clinton Fernandes, Agnelo Vaz and Milton Fernandes of Cortalim for dangerous play.
