MARGAO: Curtorim Veterans squeezed past Sun Moon Veterans, Chandor 4-1 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of all-Goa Flame of Unity veterans football tournament organized by Flame of Unity, Per-Seraulim at Mabai ground, Per-Seraulim, Friday. The score was 1-1 at half time.

Curtorim surged ahead when Dilip Patil’s rasping shot crashed into the net. However, their joy was shortlived when Menino Fernandes’s volley crashed into the net to restore parity.

In the second session, the teams went all-out in search of the match-winner but to no avail.

In the tie-breaker, Dilip Patil, Alex Fernandes and Yuri Ferrao converted for Curtorim while none of the Sun Moon players converted.
