PANJIM: Fr. Agnel HSS, Pilar defeated Auxilium HS, Caranzalem 2-0 in the final of under-17 boys Subrotto Mukherjee Cup Tiswadi Taluka football organised by DSYA at St. Cruz ground, here.
Fr. Agnel were given a tough fight by the Auxilium team.  Fr. Agnel scored twice at the fag end through Clinton Pinto and Andrew D’Mello.
Salu Santos, Ashley Fernandes, Yogesh Murgaokar played well for   Auxilium while Roston Vaz, Issac Negredo and Clinton Pinto excelled for Fr. Agnel.
Jesus and Mary School, Carambolim were awarded a walkover against Don Bosco HS, Panjim to clinch the third place.
In the semi-finals, Fr. Agnel defeated Jesus and Mary 2-0 while Auxilium shocked Don Bosco 5-4 via the tie-breaker.
Fr. Agnel were coached by Mario Fernandes while Jesus and Mary were trained by Frankie Mascarenhas.
