Fr. Agnelo Boys, Cuncolim win DBO futsal

MAPUSA: Goals from Ashtofio and Raju handed Fr. Agnelo Boys, Cuncolim, a 2-0 victory over Jesus of Nazareth, Taleigao in the final of all-Goa futsal competition organised by Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim, recently.
In all, 68 teams participated.
Ashtofio opened the scoring early on for Cuncolim as he sprinted forward and placed the ball into the back of the net.
In the second session, Raju received a neat pass from the defence and produced an impressive finish to round off the win for Cuncolim.
The Cuncolim team consists of Adney Fernandes, Ashtofio Pinto, Treven Dias, Raju Padochi, Myron Fernandes and Mackenzy Fernandes.
Cuncolim took home the winner’s trophy and Rs. 5,000 while the runners-up Jesus of Nazerath, Taleigao received Rs. 3,000 and the runners-up trophy.
