VASCO: A hat-trick by Bennyson Figueiredo helped Sporting Club of Davorlim to register a 3-0 win over Cuncolim Union and storm into the quarter-finals of 4^th Lourdes Festival Cup football organized by United Club of Utorda at SAG ground, Utorda. Davorlim led 1-0 at half time.

Davorlim forged into the lead in the 17^th minute when Bennyson timed his run to perfection to meet the inch perfect cross from Stanley and the former tapped the ball in past Sachin under the Cuncolim bar.

Cuncolim trooped in after the break determined to snatch the equalizer but Bennyson conjured a gem of a goal with a superb solo effort midway into the second half to dampen the Cuncolim spirits.

Minutes later, another sublime move saw Bennyson hitting the upright but he completed his hat-trick seven minutes before end of full time with another stupendous strike which beat Sachin.

Referee Mariano Valadares controlled the proceedings with a fair degree of authority and cautioned Malcolm Figueiredo of Davorlim and Norman Fernandes of Cuncolim for dangerous play.
