MARGAO, FEB 29 ? Sparkling Stars Association beat Seiko Cricket Club by 25 runs in the A Division of Goa Cricket Association league match (Salcete Zone) played at SAG Sports Complex, Fatorda on Friday.
Electing to bat, Sparkling Stars scored 234 runs for the loss of nine wickets.
Summit S T and Yudhister S C contributed valuable 62 runs each. Suraj Kamat chipped in another useful 27 runs.
For Seiko Cricket Club, Zahir Sadekar played havoc with the opposite team claiming four wickets, while Suraj Redkar claimed two wickets.
In reply, Seiko Cricket Club scored 209 for the loss of nine wickets. Damu Nadkarni top scored with 56 runs. Prashant Naik (38) and Shailesh Naik (36) were the other batsmen who contributed valuable runs.
Prashant Kakode was the most successful bowler for Sparkling Stars claiming two wickets, while Nitin Kalekar, Debachi Bakshi, Yogesh and Yudhister captured one wicket each.
