Tie-breaker at Quepem

PANJIM: Ambelim Sports Club defeated Dicarpalim Sports Club by a solitary goal to book a place in the quarter-finals of Fr Agnelo Youth inter-village football tournament organized by Fr Agnelo Youth Sports Club, Paroda at Panchayat ground, Avedem, Friday.
Franksen Rebello scored the all-important goal for Ambelim in the 28th minute.
MES, St Xavier’s in final

PANJIM: MES will face St Xavier’s in the finals of the men’s inter-college basketball tournament organized by Goa University, at Taleigao, Friday.
In the first semi-final, St Xavier’s thrashed Dhempe 60-22. In the second semi-final, MES overcame Dempo 41-25.
In the women’s section, Shree Damodar, Margao edged past Dhempe 24-21. Rosary, Navelim drubbed Architecture 18-4.
Meanwhile, VM Salgaocar got a walkover against Don Bosco, Panjim. Rosary defeated Shree Damodar 21-19.
