Navelim SC pip Don Bosco Fatorda

BETALBATIM: Navelim SC got the better of Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda 4-2 via the tie-breaker to move into the final of the Martin’s Cup, organised by Betalbatim SC, at Betalbatim Sports Complex, on Tuesday.

BETALBATIM: Navelim SC got the better of Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda 4-2 via the tie-breaker to move into the final of the Martin’s Cup, organised by Betalbatim SC, at Betalbatim Sports Complex, on Tuesday.
Clinton Niasso of Navelim SC had the chance to score in the eight minute but his ground shot was blocked by Crasten Araujo of Don Bosco.
Don Bosco’s Cliff Barretto’s header missed the Navelim SC nets in the 9th minute.
Prestly Gomes opened the account for Navelim in the tenth minute as the latter collected the ball from Aulon Gomes from the right flank and released an arrow bond shot which sailed coolly into Don Bosco nets. 
Navelim missed a chance to double the lead when Clinton Niasso’s set piece was cleared in time at the goal mouth by DBO defender Rovan Pereira.
Nelito Miranda of Don Bosco equalised in the 37th minute.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Joseph Gomes, Aulon Gomes, Clinton Niasso netted for Navelim SC while only Francis Andrade scored for Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda.
Navelim SC will meet the winners of Betalbatim SC and Sarzora SC in the final on the feast day of Our Lady of Remedious on January 22.
