GUDI-PARODA: Regina Martyrum High School, Assolna will clash with Our Lady of Succour High School, Nagoa – Verna in the final of the late Ramnath D. Volvotkar Memorial 2nd all Goa inter-school U-17 boys football tournament, organised by Insight the Society for Sports, Culture, Youth Affairs & Charity of Gudi at Paroda ground, on Thursday. The final will be played on August 24.  

In the first semi-finals, Regina Martyrum High School defeated Rosary High School, Navelim 4-3 via the tie-breaker. 

Both the teams were tied goalless. Jolan Simoes of Regina Martyrum HS and Adarsh Raj of Rosary HS excelled in the match. In the ensuing tie-breaker, Joean Simoes, Brighten Fernandes, Jolan Simoes and Crossley Luis scored for Regina Martyrum HS while Adarsh Raj, Noah Luis and Viresh Akki were on target for Rosary HS, Navelim. Crossley Luis was named player of the match.

In the second semi-finals, OL of Succour HS defeated OL Mother of the Poor HS, Tilamol 5-3 via the tie-breaker after the match ended 1-1 draw. Yash Naik gave the lead to OL of Succour HS in the 17th minute which was later cancelled by Salgio Dias in the 51st minute. In the tie-breaker, Bloyton Estrocio, Sitroy Carvalho, Yash Naik, Allan Rodrigues and Sinon Pereira scored for OL of Succour HS while Salgio Dias, Reezvon Fernandes and Godwin Costa converted for OL Mother of the Poor HS. 

Bloyton Estrocio of OL Succour HS was adjudged as Player of the match.
