Goa called correctly at the coin toss and opted to bowl first. Lakshay Garg struck early to remove opener Anshul Gupta for 10.
The early blow was followed by a steady partnership between Navneet Singh and Ravi Chauhan as the duo added 48 runs for the second wicket before being separated by Vijesh. With the scalps of Gahlaut Singh (6) and captain Rajat Paliwal (4) in successive overs, Vijesh left Services in trouble at 75/4.
Ravi though batted steadily and with Devendra Lochab launched a brief recovery before Amulya Pandrekar poured cold water on their hopes with the scalp of the latter.
Services had lost half of their team for 99. Vijesh added another scalp to his tally when he had Arun Bamal caught for 11. Through Ravi and Nitin Tanwar, the visitors again aimed to revive the innings. The duo had taken the score to 141/7 when Pandrekar struck to have Tanwar trapped lbw for 14.
Vijesh completed his fifer dismissing Diwesh Pathania for one and ended with figures of 5/52. With wickets falling regularly at the other end, Ravi took it upon himself to do the bulk of the scoring, hitting a fighting half-century. He was the ninth wicket to fall after scoring 75 off 144 with 11 fours and a six.
Lakshay Garg picked his second wicket in Akash Sharma to put an end to Services innings.
