Yuvraj double helps Siolim beat FC Goa North

PANJIM: Young Yuvraj Chodankar found the back of the net twice as Siolim overcame FC Goa North 2-0 in the boys U-10 pre-quarterfinal match of the GFDC Rising Star Football Festival at Aldona ground, recently.

PANJIM: Young Yuvraj Chodankar found the back of the net twice as Siolim overcame FC Goa North 2-0 in the boys U-10 pre-quarterfinal match of the GFDC Rising Star Football Festival at Aldona ground, recently.

After a barren first session, some coach talk inspired the Siolim side and Yuvraj broke the deadlock in the 35th minute with a sublime finish. 

Two minutes later, Yuvraj and his team were celebrating yet again with the second goal.

FC Goa North were totally outplayed in all aspects of the game.

In the Boys U-13 tie, Marcel grounded FC Goa 1 with a 6-2 margin. 

Roshan Sharma secured a brace while Anijot Parab, Suyesh Chodankar, Rajan Mahtto, Gandhar Mahatme netted one each. Saiesh Gawas and Selio Gracias were the scorers for FC Goa 1.

Meanwhile, Khandepar proved to be too strong for FC Goa South 3 in a U-13 boys match. Sahil Gaonkar netted twice while Sanket Gawde added another in their 3-0 win at Navelim ground.

FC Goa South 2 defeated GFDC Collem 2-1 in the boys U-10 match. Vales and Rovan scored for the winners while Sakib Vanti netted for Collem.
