MARGAO: Advocate Rajiv Gomes has been elected as the new president of the South Goa Advocates Association. In the election held on May 3, Adv Gomes was declared elected as the new president. Other members elected in the election are:

vice-president Joe Cronny D’Silva, secretary Vivek Francis Vas (elected unopposed), treasurer Verenkar Patil (elected unopposed), and members Tari Bhaskar (Margao), Madkaikar Priyesh (Sanguem), Vinay Patkar (Quepem), Elvis Fernandes (Vasco), Suresh D Gaonkar (Vasco), and Lady representative Gouri Desai.
