Regina Martyrum HS, OL Rosary HS sail into semis

FATORDA: Regina Martyrum High School outplayed Auxilium High School 5-4 via tie-breaker to storm into the semi-finals of the U-14 Suborto Mukerjee Cup (Salcette Zone) football tournament, at artifical turf, Fatorda, on Wednesday.
Godfrey Crasto and Prazwal Zuratkar of Regina Martyrun High School combined well and made upfront moves to trouble the rival defense.
Selwyn Da Silva defender of Auxiluim high school tackled the ball which was a sure goal scoring chance for Godfrey Crasto of Regina Martyrum in the 2nd minute of the match.
Thereafter Arrigue Fernandes for Auxilium fired a solo rocket bond shot from close range but the rival goalkeeper was equal to the task in the 4th minute.
Tanvesh Naik of Regina Martyrum floated a long ball to Prazwal whose aerobatic shot hit the outside goal post of Auxilium and went out of play in the 12th minute. 
A well tricky move by Prazwal to Godfrey Crasto for Regina Martyrum earned a goal scoring opportunity in the 23th minute as Godfrey Crasto chested the ball and slammed a thunderous shot which banged the Auxilium net, 1-0.
Noel Fernandes of Regina Martyrum shot lacked power in the 15th minute as Vellyo Silva goalkeeper of Auxilium saved it easily.Later in the 16th minute Jolan Simoes of Regina passed the ball to Austern Pinto who shot it in the goal however the rival goalkeeper saved it.
Change of ends saw Auxilium trying to equalize through Jalon Fernandes in the 39th but Brendan Colaco foiled his move. 
Godfrey Luis for Regina tried his left footed effort but went wide in the 40th minute.
Regina Martyrum starting losing steam and firepower as Godfrey Crasto missed some goal scoring opportunities in the 3rd quarter of the match. 
Auxiluim came from behind to equalize 1-1 through Manfred Pinto in the 48th minute.
In the resultant tie-breaker Regina Martyrum high school proved to be better shooters.
In another match Our lady of Rosary High School, Fatorda blanked Perpetual Convent High School, Navelim 2-0 to move into the semi-final.
Sydney Araujo and Movriso Dias netted in the 13th and 22nd minute for Our Lady of Rosary Fatorda.
