It was meek surrender by the Chinchinim school whose defence failed to contain the marauding Navelim side, who combined to a nicety with free-flowing co-ordination and played attacking football. Joybert Almeida was in irresistible form and proved unstoppable as he finished off the day with a hat-trick, finding the net in the 33rd, 44th and 84th minute.

The onslaught continued after the crossover with Rayan Pinto chipping in with a double strike in the 80th and 84th minute before Joybert hammered the final nail.

St Joseph’s owe their spectacular rally to player of the match, Chatan Varma who courageously waged a lone furrow upfront against all odds, pumping in three goals for his side. Prevlis Cardozo and Alreach Piexote chipped in with a goal a piece St Xavier’s got their goals from Mulla Maulalli (2), Myron Shawn Correia, Jolen Fernandes and Lybern Fernandes.
