FATORDA: Regina Martyrum HS, Assolna thrashed Fatima Convent HS, Margao 6-1 to move into the semi-finals of the U-17 Subroto Mukherjee Salcete Taluka girls football tournament organised by DSYA, at PJN Stadium, Fatorda, on Wednesday.
In the 5th minute, Ianire Fernandes opened the account for Regina with a placement shot off Razie Pereira’s rebound.
Two minutes later, Daisy Crasto doubled the lead.
Three minutes later Razia Pereira netted the third for Regina.
It was Clency Miranda and Suveda Kokate who further inflated the lead for Regina to make it 5-0 in the 15th and 19th minutes respectively.
In the 30th minute, substitute Jenell Almeida pulled a goal back for Fatima. Razia Pereira made it 6-1 for Regina in the 40th minute.
In another match, Rosary HSS, Navelim blanked Manovikas English HSS, Margao 5-0 and moved into the semi-final.
Chelsea Crasto netted a hat-trick while Tercy Pinto and Cia Almeida netted a goal each for the winners.
In another match, Rosary HS, Navelim thumped Infant Jesus HS, Colva 7-0 and moved into the semi-final.
Jolinda Ferrao netted a hat-trick while Divya Chavanke netted a brace. Sirin Totad and Diksha Ahirwar netted a goal each for the winners.
In the last match, Our Lady of Carmel HS, Curtorim got the better of Fr Agnel Multipurpose HSS, Verna 4-0 to move into the semi final.
Lakeisa Fernandes netted a brace while Melvira Fernandes and Criffa Pereira netted a goal each for for the Curtorim school.
