St Xavier’s HS Velim emerge victorious
CUNCOLIM: St Xavier’s HS, Velim downed Infant Jesus High School Colva 3-2 via the tie-breaker to emerge as champs in the 3rd All Goa OLHESA inter-school football tournament organised by Our Lady of Health Ex Students Association, at Cuncolim School ground, Cuncolim, on Sunday.
Both the teams failed to score in the normal time. Avon Pinto, Shane Cardozo and Kiran Hattikar scored for St Xavier’s HS while Amarkumar Thakur and Riston Gomes were on target for Infant Jesus HS.
Fr Joseph John Fernandes was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to he winners and runners-up in the presence of John Furtado – Headmaster of Our Lady of Health High School and Ciano Fernandes – Chairman of OLHESA.
