Regina Martyrum HS move into quarter-finals
GUDI-PARODA: Regina Martyrum High School, Assolna had to wait till the tie-breaker to shoot-out Bethany Convent HS, Sao Jose de Areal 5-4 via the tie-breaker to enter the quarter-finals of the 2nd Ramnath D. Volvotkar memorial inter-school football tournament organised by “Insight” The Society for Sports, Culture, Youth Affairs & Charity of Gudi Paroda, at Gudi–Paroda ground, on Wednesday.
Both the teams missed scoring opportunities in both the sessions.
Ashwin Costa and Clifford Costa for Bethany Convent and Joean Simoes, Brighton Fernandes and Prajwal Zuvatkar of Regina Martyram HS missed scoring chances. After a barren full session, Prajwal Zuvatkar, Brighton Fernandes, Jolan Simoes, Joean Simoes and Crosley Louis scored for Regina Martyrum School while Ashwin Costa, Clifford Costa, Mycintho Cardozo and Vivaldi Travasso scored for Bethany Convent HS. Joean Simoes of Regina Martyrum HS was named player-of-the-match.
