Cyber crime is showings its ugly face once again. When things seem to be moving in the right direction , there seems to be a thaw in relations. Pakistan, it looks, is using cyber technology as its military has failed in promoting their nefarious activities through conventional methods- methods that were used by them before.
The Indian government must tackle this cyber crime on war footing and all the essential precautions must be in place to counter any such moves from across the border.
Today it is Assam. Tomorrow it may spread to other States . People must become fearless and co-operate with agencies and most importantly must not be swayed by such propaganda.
People from across all States must come forward and join forces and unite. Peaceful marches and candle light processions should be organized at important places in each city. We should gather together , irrespective of our caste, religion or regional affiliations. By being united , we win half the battle. Or for the matter, even more then that. For , Salman Rushdie once said, “silence is the ancient language of defeat”.
At the same time , we have to solve the problem of illegal immigrants, especially from Bangladesh. India has to find a way to repatriate them back to their country. Illegal Bangladeshis are found in almost all States of India. Politicians who allow immigrants to cross the borders must share the blame for the clashes in Assam.
The fact that the infiltrators can stay in our country simply because they form a formidable vote bank reflects the deplorable state of our democracy. India is facing a huge challenge in trying to send the immigrants back. They have an adverse effect on the economy and may even pose a threat to our national security. The government must deal with them firmly.
