Since I am not a lawyer, I maintain a safe distance from anything involving the law. Especially because judges are quick to take umbrage at anything you say and throw the book at you with a legal brickbat called ‘contempt of court’.
Never mind the fact that many respected people hold the law in absolute and utter contempt. Listen to what they say:-
Thomas Jefferson said, “If you want social justice you should visit a brothel, if you want to get screwed then you go to court.” Jonathan Swift said, “The law is like a spider’s web. It can trap the mosquitoes, flies and other tiny insects but the gnats, hornets and bumble bees can fly right through and through.
I take my hat off to these two gentlemen. The Supreme Court judgement in the notorious Sanjeev Nanda B.M.W. case has vindicated the statements of both Jefferson and Swift.
In many cultures, the number 7 has been given a special place. It is alleged that the number seven is endowed with magical force and supernatural powers.
Seven years ago, Sanjeev Nanda, grandson of the illustrious Admiral Nanda of the Indian Navy, ran-over and allegedly killed seven human beings with his new Seven Series B.M.W. If you are a superstitious type, those three sevens will make you do the most bizarre things as it affects your ability to make any rational judgement.
Look what the 3 sevens did to the magnificent Delhi Police. During the course of the investigations, the B.M.W. changed into a truck. Soon after that, the truck again turned into a B.M.W.
