RSS torpedo Anna Hazare plan
Last week, Anna Hazare abruptly announced that he had decided to bring down the curtains on the fast unto death drama at Jantar Mantar. During his announcement, he made two significant claims --- that the fast was a waste of time, and second, the need to provide a political alternative. 
    At least, at that point of time, Hazare’s mind was clear. But, perhaps, he was pushed to the extreme level of patience by the so-called experts within the Team Anna group, towards making the announcement. It  is conclusive that Arvind Kejriwal, Kiran Bedi and Prashant Bushan along with others in the Team have visibly overpowered Hazare and taken complete control of the scene, which prompted Hazare to make the statement.    
    The announcement of launching a political platform stems from the Team members’ ambition, but this does not suit the RSS and BJP.  No wonder, a  RSS spokesman was heard making an agitated statement on television that a political alternative and promoting a political platform to the Hazare Team is “not acceptable”.
   What business had the RSS to make such a statement? This statement comes from RSS fear   that the proposed party by Hazare group would not only eat into th BJP vote bank, but would also torpedo the RSS plan to use  Hazare Team to pillory the Congress party to such an extent before the 2014 elections, that Congress is left bleeding with no escape, with even any form of blood transfusion unable to revive the Congress.    The BJP and RSS need Anna because the BJP credibility is   eroded.
   It is evident that after the announcement on the new political party by Hazare and Team Anna, RSS fixed him because people who had assembled in support of Hazare campaign at the venue of the fast were in reality RSS cadres incognito who aggressively condemned Hazare. The RSS obviously exerted tremendous pressure on Hazare, even going to the extent of cautioning him on his approach to the campaign, 
It is significant to note that under  fear, under the glare of  TV,  Hazare walked out without a word being uttered, absolutely chupke-chupke, only forcing a smile to cameramen who jostled for an explanation  for his decision to call off the fast. The RSS dictat actually worked effectively and Hazare left without even disclosing that he is disbanding Team Anna,  and that there would be no Team Anna core group thereafter.
  Now that the bubble has burst, members of “Team Anna”  will have to organize themselves without the prefix Anna, which may not have any much impact on the electorate. As long as  Kejriwal, Bedi and Bushan and other remained in Hazare fold, they had the strength, but minus Hazare,  the movement has lost its steam, even credibility.
    BJP and RSS now find themselves back to square one. Needless to say, they will have to put together the pieces to resurrect themselves. To make matters worse, L K Advani the senior most RSS-BJP man has come out with his prognosis arising out of the fact that he is insulted by RSS and let down, after he single-handedly brought up the BJP and put the party on the chair to give leadership of A B Vajpayee, while he played second fiddle though he was the creator.
   Now that Hazare has announced that he would return to Pune to join yoga guru Baba Ramdev in his indefinite fast against black money, it only reiterates that he is doing so at the RSS dictat, despite the fact that at one time the two had split apart. It appears that Hazare who led the movement is now being guided by the movement. This indeed is the parody of life!
