PANJIM: The Vibrant Goa Foundation (VGF) recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the Gulf Maharashtra Business Forum (GMBF) in Dubai to foster bilateral trade between the two regions.
VGF is organising the Vibrant Goa - Global Expo Summit (VG-GES) 2019 from October 17-19.
The MoU was the highlight of the second international road show conducted by a six-member, VGF team to the United Arab Emirates, Sultanate of Oman, Qatar and Kuwait in April this year.
The VGF team comprised Armaan Bankley, secretary, VGF, Anmol Modi, senior head ( promotions), Vibrant Goa, Tushar Kamat, CEO, Canestar Agro Foods India Private Limited, Abdul Razzak, MD, Dyna Elevators, Swapnil Saglani, partner, Saglani Furniture and Interiors and Brian Rodrigues, MD, Medisson Retails Pvt Ltd.
The road show began with a meeting with 200 delegates from 120 companies in a function organised by the Indian Embassy in Muscat, Oman.
“We had excellent B2B meetings in this session and some members of the VGF touring team actually signed business deals immediately,” Bankley said.
Likewise, in Dubai the VGF team had meetings with all the seven chambers of commerce in the UAE.
In Kuwait, the VGF team interacted with 40 companies in business meetings organised by the Indian Embassy.
In Qatar too, the VGF team tasted success, as they interacted with many Qatari companies with the help of the Goan Association of Qatar.
Bankley also acknowledged the excellent rapport that the VGF team shared with the Indian Business and Professionals Council (IBPC) in the UAE and Qatar.
