A SHOW OF SHEER STRENGTH: STRONGMAN INDIA LEAGUE COMES TO GOA
Goa, for the first time witnessed a successful and motivating weightlifting event initiated by Strongman India League in association with Vinsan World. Goa played the perfect host to supreme talent from all across the country at Miramar Beach on the 27th of May, 2018. The event exuberated energy which translated to the onlookers who came to view the event in great numbers. A power packed tournament, excited participants, cheering crowd and stimulating music set the mood of the event. The tournament saw some healthy competition in both the men’s and women’s categories. The 75kgs in the Men’s category declared Davendra Pratap Singh as the winner, followed by Narottam Sharma and Shivam Tiwari in the 2nd and 3rd place respectively. The 90kgs in theMen’s category winner was Deepak Yadav, followed by Rameshwar Singh in the 2nd place and Aman RaiVohra grabbing the 3rd spot. In the Open Category, 1st place was won by Vikram Phogat, followed by Lalit Yadav in the 2nd place and Raghavendra S H in the 3rd place. The 75kgs in the Women’s category declared Priyanka Vaishya as the winner, followed by Archana Chauhan in the 2nd place. The 80kgs winner’s spot was grabbed by Isha Singh. In the Open Category, 1st place was won by Suhani Gandhi, followed by Tukhfi Khan in the 2nd place. The participant who qualified to take part in the Strongman Champions League in Finland was Aman Rai Vohra. The trend is set! So get ready to embrace another event showcasing the biggest show of strength for the second time in Goa on the 1st and 2nd of December 2018. The event, already listed on the Strongman Champions League promises to be bigger, better and grander with talent from all across the globe coming together to participate and prove their mettle. Earlier in the day, Guest of Honour, State Minister Rohan Khaunte, inaugurated the occasion alongside giving his best wishes to the competitors and viewers. He provided an insightful speech to motivate professionals and amateurs on how one can train the body and mind to perform at its best. He also mentioned the magnitude of the event as it not only creates awareness but also promises an exposure level which suggests that the sky is the limit if you set to achieve. He showed his happiness in such events taking place here that will enable positioning Goa as a dynamic destination.
