The Goa Institute of Management organised its national level HR Summit, Anveshan, 2019, recently. In its seventh edition, Anveshan is a forum where management students across the country get an opportunity to interact with experts in the industry and showcase their skills in the field of Human Resources

Anveshan, 2019 is the national level HR Summit organised by The Goa Institute of Management (GIM). The recently organised seventh edition saw Prabir Jha, President and Global Chief People Officer, Cipla, sharing a few life lessons with the students. He said, “Be proud of your past, but don’t become a prisoner of your legacy and education. Discover your passion and uncover your true worth.”

The event also showcased ‘Margdarshan’, a stimulation game in association with TOPSIM provided by Tata Interactive Systems. ‘Margdarshan’ is an industry-student mentorship program where the mentors helped the teams in the game by guiding the students on how to go about it. The event, this year, raised the bar even higher than its last editions with mentors from companies like IFB, Kineco Limited and Tevapharma Pvt. Ltd.

The workshop ‘Drum-e-Baazi’, organised by Machhli - the art space and conducted by their founder Vartika Gupta and her team left the crowd with refreshing and infectious energy.

The event also carried out‘Samiksha’, a National Level case study competition at Anveshan. The uniqueness of the event stems from the fact that the case studies have been written in collaboration with companies such Syngenta, Make a Difference and Sanofi. This year, the event saw participation from B-schools across the country.

All in all, Anveshan taught the students to develop a sense of curiosity, challenge, and a push to change the world.

The Goa Institute of Management was originally started in 1993 by Fr Romuald D’Souza supported by a team of professionals and industrialists and has risen to one of the finest management schools in the country. It is ranked among the top 10 private B-schools in India and among the top 20 business schools in the country. It is now run by the Registered Society of GIM, through a Board of Governors.
