The fun and festivities and such more were on display as the streets of Panjim were filled with crowds from far and wide that came to the capital to witness Carnival.
From traditional occupations, fruits and flowers of the State, the Carnival was a visual and musical treat. It was not only the massive floats but even the revellers displayed the merrymaking spirit by dressing in colourful clothes and donning wigs and masks.
The traditional occupations from Goa all made their way to Panjim for the annual Carnival parade. Where else would come see all coconut products being made on a float?
Individual as well as family floats like a Egyptian Pharoah, Mahatma Gandhi and a man covered in silver colour were among the many characters that were part of the Carnival.
With three more days of Carnival, everyone can be heard chanting ‘Viva Carnival’.
