Last year on May 7, the ‘A Midsummer’s Night Dream’ a free and open to the public concert took place at the Kala Academy in Goa. It was an evening of Orchestral music featuring works by Composers like Bartok, Arensky, Vivaldi and Barber with solo performances by Sanya Myla Cotta (violin) and Tanisha Herbert (mezzo soprano). The orchestra comprised of 19 of the best musicians from all over India and was conducted by Belgian Conductor maestro Joris Decolvenaer and concertmaster was none other than Sanya Myla Cotta. Both being leaders of their generation in Western Classical Music. It was an evening of history in the making! With works of music by Gluck, Rossini, Bella Bartok, Samuel Barber, Vivaldi, Arensky and more.

“I am going to really miss Sanya! I was so lucky to have played next to her. It’s so hard to think about anything without Sanya. But we must not stop. Everything should be in her memory. So many people have been touched with what Sanya was and did for everyone. She was such a warm, kind, gentle and loving person. She was like a dream!” says Arun Rozario, Violinist.
