The Tiatr Academy of Goa presented the awards to the winners of the Konkani and Music awards for the year 2019. The best singer male was awarded to Johnny B Gud for his song Happy Anniversary from the album Love in the Rains.  The best singer female was won by Agatha Jiligu for her song Kalzam Nachtat Kumasar from the album Kor Kantar Taleigoa. 

Father Dominic Alvarez from Father Agnel Pilar, who was the chief guest, said it was commendable the singers were going Global with someone having provided music for a Pakistani song. He emphasized the need to have more workshops for voice training which would help everyone. Father Dominic also congratulated the President and the Vice President for the good work and said it was good they had a dynamic community. 

Annalee Menezes won the award for Best child singer in the female category for her song Ulo  Bhurgeancho from the album Mog Pallkacho. Sadly there were insufficient entries in the male category. 

Genevieve Mathias and Mark Fernandes won the best duet award for their song “I want to be like” from the album Kor Kantar Taleigoa. The award for the best duo was won by Assis Cardozo and Tomazinho Cardozo for their song Sopnam from the album Devak Argam. 

Awards were also given to winners in the Best Trio, Quartet, Quintet, Choral, Lyricist and album section. The program was attended by artists as well as fans of tiatr. Mukesh Ghatwal who won best music composer said he composed the music for the album Devak Argam in a week during a very hectic time for him last year. It was, he said a very good experience. This year he said work was good but it was much more relaxed. 

The Competition was judged by well-known Musicians  Fr. Rolland Lin Fernandes and Elvis Goes.
