Can we disown the present Govt?

Savio Pinto

With each passing day Goa is witnessing an unprecedented and colossal tragedy-missing in action of their CEO. And with the latest tragedy of jumping jacks in the fray Goan politics has turned into a big mess.

Now most of us should be asking the most relevant question ‘Why does the leadership issue is killing us softly?’

As it was once said ‘Goa ka lok ajeeb hai’ by late J.Nehru, how true those words can be relevant today. Goans are now witnessing the ugliest political mess ever witnessed by the present generation. And the worst fears are that there is no ready-made solution in sight. At every step, every MLA is knitting his own web in the hope of getting caught up onto the web of sycophants.

The BJP has now exposed its ugly face that instead of having rejected by the people to rule the state, the hunger for power by all means has served well into their domain.

The will to cling to the chair of power, irrespective of their state of mind  needs one to have an extraordinaire will-power to fight the time ticking clock which has been set in motion by the Creator. No person in this world is indispensable and so too our CM and other ministers who are ailing and fighting for their life. In a humanely feeling Goans have been praying for their speedy recovery. But those prayers cannot be translated into any guarantee for the welfare of Goa and its people.

By now everybody has only one question in his/her mind is that when will the Goa’s CEO breathe his last? Or will he survive to see others dying?

Every passing day the lack of governance is staring at Goa but the bunch of jokers who are masquerading as protectors of Goa are making us believe that they can give us their best. Some of them must have even planned to rock their own boats that have fed them for generations. And this fact has come true with the latest desertions of the two Congress MLAs into the BJP fold.

BJP should have introspected that the Goan electorate are aghast with their performance in the State and hobnobbing into this treacherous move will only deepens Goans’ anger. The recent moves of the major parties have forced Goans to think twice, as neither of them namely the BJP or the Congress has concrete plans to usher for Goa with new leaders. Both have failed to cultivate and motivate new leaders. The AAP party which may have an advantage will surely do justice provided people trust them and show their maturity and begin afresh a new innings altogether. Will Goans stand in unison to this fresh Challenge? Only time will tell.’
