Great India, just a dream?

Published on
Jawaharlal Nehru commented that Goa was “Ajeeb” when he visited and experienced the hospitality and the kindness of Goans. He even declared Goa to be Special in the Constitution on India. Although we were liberated from the Portuguese and much before that India was Independent from the British Dynasty, words spoken by Winston Churchill have proven to be true “If the British left India, Goons would Rule”.
It is really scary to belong to a religion other than Hindu, when India was just India and not Hindustan, because India was a country with multiple religions living in harmony without religious discriminations and now looks like it’s really ruled by goons. Minorities such as Muslims and Catholics are targeted and tortured, women belonging to these faiths are raped and the law is blinded by political pressure. Are we really moving towards an Advanced India as shown to the World on television or is it that politicians are working on getting rid of other faiths and naming India as “HINDUSTAN”?
The gravity of demonetisation which played a major role of the political weight and ‘dictatorship’ did not bring in the expected results; black money was the target, but it ended up in a disastrous situation where the common man was the victim. Vijay Mallaya fled with a tip-off from our top notches in the Parliament after knowing the fate of his actions. Why are we still quiet when we are the ones who pay for the meals and entertainment of these politicians? Business giants such as Mallaya owing Rs 9000 cr to our country and hiding in a country which once ruled us, is really a point of interest.
Now the billion dollar question is; after all the tactics and tricks to rein in black money did not succeed what is the ruling party doing? To cover its mistakes and failures the system still does not give up ripping off the common man of its hard earnings and will lead India towards nothing but a disaster. Ridiculously escalating petrol prices, unwanted taxes (GST) on daily needs, where is all the money going? We do not see any development; our roads are full of pot holes, traffic jams holding up ambulances and it’s really frustrating to see some of the unqualified government officials trying to cover up mistakes with arrogance.
How can we Indians make such a mistake of handing our peaceful country to the “World’s No. 1 Criminal”? I’m sorry to say, but this is the truth. It’s time for us to stand up for ourselves or the great India will just be a dream.
