TIME FOR FRONTS TO COME TOGETHER

TIME FOR FRONTS TO COME TOGETHER

It’s first time in my life that I feel most dejected and sad at the way our Goan polity is unfolding in our Bangarachem Gôy.

We have seen over the years how Goans are being taken for a ride by the politicians, be it the Congress or the BJP or for that matter any other party who played spoiled sport in running the government in the State. Today Goans having realised, albeit belatedly how dangerously we are poised and landed at the threshold of total destruction; and now seriously looking forward for an alternative saviour.

The anger is writ large on every Gôykar’s face against political parties  who have betrayed peoples’ trust and made us fools of ourselves by voting them for far too long. How long are we going to suffer from their brunt misdeeds?

Now that the Assembly elections’ bugle has been sounded, like frogs those who went underground after looting and ditching their own party have all of a sudden realised that their sins of omission and commission are all forgiven and forgotten and slowly have started croaking even though the first rains drops are yet to arrive.

As we ponder to our future, Goa will be bleeding to save itself from the clutches of outsiders as well as from the present crop of politicians who are hell bent to destroy Goa and our culture.  Politically, our present leaders have already sold their heart and soul for thirty pieces of silver and sitting pretty counting their booty. Their heartless and visionless leadership has spelt doom for Goa and Goans and thus we are at the receiving end. The Goans will definitely vote and elect their choicest candidate but the million dollar question is to whom the outsiders are going to vote, the vote that demand and commands them plots/shanties on either the government land or on communidade land; besides-utensils-saris and cash that will look like making them kings in the kingdom of fools and thus turn the apple cart of niz Gôykars.

The mushrooming of last minute hidden voters who have been always pampered by every politician in their own way in their respective constituency during elections shall dictate the terms and results of next elections irrespective to whom Goans vote. They have mastered their art and are only too confident how to go about it thus leaving behind the goans red-faced. And this should be the concern of every Gôykar who should be ever vigilant to tap and root out this deadly menace of bogus voters. I say bogus because these people are not interested in anything but their only aim is to settle in Goa in shanties by availing government doles of plots to them. They care a damn to whom they are going to vote provided someone allows them to settle and gives ration and voting cards.

The mushrooming of such dwellings all over Goa is a death knell  to Goans’ identity itself. We need to stop all such people from usurping our government schemes.

So somehow and someone ought to arrive on the scene to save and protect whatever left over and sooner the better as we can see how destructive the present government is.

Goans are now highly relying on the new political fronts that have shown their willingness to fill  the vacuum left by those who squandered their opportunities in protecting the interest of Goa and Goans. But again it would be highly recommended that all those who now have shown interest and thrown their hats into the election fray should come together on a common single platform to show their solidarity towards one and only goal of defeating the enemy at all cost. And that would be the first victory of the people.

The political fronts like RG, Aam Addmi Party in Goa and Goencho Avaaz have to sacrifice their personal egos if any and give Goans the hope by coming together on a common platform and get themselves organized by distributing seats accordingly without hurting each others’ sentiments, and sooner the better. This will definitely shower peoples’ blessings upon them and that will write the ensuing success story of Goans.

Let it be known that by fighting elections as a single entity by these fronts across Goa will only give an upper hand to those who want to divide us and thus give them victory on a platter. The greatest challenge for these fronts would be to sit together and thrash out the differences first and once done the peoples’ faith and trust will surely grow hundred fold.

Goans are yearning for the true leadership from these new political fronts, I call them fronts as I have my own reservations to call them as political parties at the moment. But once these fronts clobber together to raise their voice in unison then the real opposition  party shall give birth. And that would be a turning point on Goa’s political horizon.

We need to open our eyes wide open to see how the hidden agenda of the present government is working and to cling to power they shall unleash the terror beyond one’s imagination.

So, let us rise to the occasion in unison and raise our voices irrespective of how hard our life will be made by witch-hunting and intimidating tactics of the ruling party and its cronies. Let us strive to have our own government who will take care of our Goa first and stop it from total destruction so that the future generation can live life happily ever after.
