PANJIM: A day after the office of North Goa District Collector was criticised for holding walk-in interviews for contractual posts in a manner that led to chaos, a notice extending the deadline for registration has been issued for eligible candidates, who were not able to register for the interview on Monday. The District Magistrate has also changed the venue to the Old GMC complex indicating that the previous venue – office of the Collectorate – was not in a position to handle a huge number of job aspirants.

“In view of overwhelming response to the walk-in interviews for the posts of lower division clerk and data entry operator in this office advertised on January 17, 2018 it is hereby informed that for the benefit of eligible candidates who were not able to register their names on January 29, 2018, the date for the registration has been extended. Eligible candidates may come for registering their names and receiving the printed tokens for appearing for interview on February 2 and 3 from 10am to 5 pm at ground floor, Old GMC complex,” states the notice.

Those who have already registered for interviews and interviewed have been asked not to reappear. The interviews, based on the token numbers, will be held at Collectorate office.
