MAPUSA: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has slammed the BJP Government for failing miserably to govern the state of Goa.

NCP spokesperson AdvAvinash Bhosle said, "The present situation of constant power fluctuations in the state is an example of how the BJP government has miserably failed to govern the State. People had many expectations from this government; however, the BJP on basis of which had formed the government didn’t even try to fulfill them".

“Keeping aside the people of Goa, the Chief Minister showed its responsibility towards the BJP and its workers by addressing them via video call. The CM failed to satisfy people of Goa by indirectly addressing the people and assuring them that he will return. As CM of the state and MLA, it was Parrikar's responsibility to address the people of Goa and not only BJP workers", he charged.

“To raise a voice against the government and to awaken it, the Nationalist Congress Party will have a ‘Halla Bol' on the different government authorities, who have failed to complete pending works in each taluka,” Bhosle warned.

Highlighting the issues of Mapusa, NCP general secretary Sanjay Barde said, “The Mapusa MLA, who is also the Urban Development Minister, has failed to develop Mapusa. From power cuts to water supply and from roads to parking, there is no development in Mapusa".

“Authorities such as MMC, PWD and JICA are playing the blame game in Mapusa. The party has given an 8-day deadline to the authorities to repair roads in Mapusa failing which the NCP has threatened to stage a huge protest outside the office of concern department”.

The Mapusa market too has lost its identity, as the market is taken over by the outsiders. Encroachments have left no space for people to even walk in the market with no proper parking facility. The NCP demands that the authorities take immediate action and resolve these issues".
