PONDA: Goa Pradesh Youth Congress president Varad Mardolkar along with party workers met the school headmaster and informed him that there is attempt by some school management members to pressurise the victim student’s mother to withdraw her complaint against librarian accused in the assault case.

Stating that the accused should be punished, Adv Varad Mardolkar hailed the school headmaster and management for terminating the services of accused Librarian. However, the effort by school management asking the victim student’s mother to withdraw the police complaint or else the victim student should leave the school is not right.

The Congress would launch an agitation if student is harassed in future, he said and added that the student is currently in Class VIII and he should not be harassed till he passes out from the school on the issue of police complaint.

School Headmaster assured that the student’s future would not be compromised at any cost and that management had already terminated the services of the librarian over the alleged assault on the student.
