Vasco: A total of 68 seafarers, who were quarantined in hotels in Vasco, were allowed to return home after completing their 14-day quarantine period on Thursday. 50 of them were staying in one hotel, while the remaining 18 were staying in another.
Earlier on Wednesday, another set of 86 seafarers were also similarly allowed to leave two hotels and go home. Here. 61 were staying in one hotel and 25 in the other.
The seafarers were all issued COVID negative certificates from the health officers.
Seafarer from Canacona, Nestor Fernandes thanked his shipping company, for taking care of his stay and expenses. He also mentioned that he was treated well and was provided with good food and facilities in the hotel
Other seafarers like Cleton Fernandes, from Agonda also thanked his company and also expressed happiness that he can go home and finally meet his family.
