... urges Co-operative Societies Registrar to clear pending files of Pernem’s SHGs

Panjim: Congress urged Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies North Zone Mapusa to clear pending files of self help groups (SHG).

The Congress delegation led by GPCC General Secretary Amarnath Panjikar, GPCC Secretary Narayan Redkar and other Congress workers gheraoed the Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies, North Zone Mapusa, over the pending files of self help groups from Pernem.

Panjikar said that from the last 10 months, files of these groups have been pending for approval before the Assistant Registrar. 

He said the files need registration approval so that these groups can open bank accounts, which cannot be done without the certificate due to which their business can’t move forward. 

He added that despite constant follow-ups, the situation hasn’t changed for the last ten months, when it is supposed to be cleared within 45 days. 

Redkar informed that each SHG has 25 to 30 members.He further added that the Assistant Registrar assured to clear the files in next five days.
