PANJIM: A day after reporting four deaths which caused panic across the State, there were two more deaths registered on Sunday and more importantly both from Vasco.

The bulletin says, one 63-year-old male from New Vaddem, Vasco and one 53 years male from Zuarinagar, Vasco succumbed on Sunday. Both were admitted to the ESI COVID hospital, Margao and had co-morbid conditions.

The COVID-19 fatalities in the State are now 35.

There were 175 positive cases reported on Sunday and recoveries stood at 230. 

Interestingly, the recovery rate has gone up to 67 per cent with 3277 while the active cases are 1549. The fatalities stand at 0.72 per cent.

On Sunday there were three more cases reported in Panjim..

“Two person tested positive from Dando, Caranzalem. They are friends of a person who tested positive from Mala, they had gone to a restaurant for lunch at Ribandar on Sunday. And one doctor from Dhanalaxmi, Bhatlem has tested positive,” CCP Mayor Uday Madkaikar said here. 

The Opposition has decided to corner the government in the one-day assembly session tomorrow over the COVID19 deaths.

The government has refused to take up the issue for discussion on the floor of the House.
