PANJIM: The State on Saturday reported three deaths of COVID-19 patients with co-morbid condition, taking the tally of total deaths to 48.
The Health Bulletin released by the Health Department reveals the three deceased are a 77-year-old man from Betim, a 64-year-old man from Aquem-Margao and a 71-year-old woman from Velsao.
The single-day COVID-19 cases touched the highest till date as 280 samples tested positive, while 227 persons recovered on Saturday. With this, Goa has 6193 confirmed cases whereas 1707 are active cases and 4438 have recovered as on Saturday evening.
Fifty eight suspects are at isolation wards and 72 persons have been quarantined across various residencies/hotels.
The health centres at Cortalim, Vasco and Margao continue to record cases in three digits with 334, 390 and 110 active cases respectively.
