3 special gram sabhas to prepare Gram Panchayat Development Plan

MARGAO: Three special gram sabhas will be held to prepare the Gram Panchayat Development Plan and to ensure that the procedure laid down is followed. 

A special mobile app will be made available soon to report the Village Development Committee’s work to the Central Government directly.

This was revealed at a special workshop held on Monday at Matanhy Saldanha Administrative Complex for the conveners, who have been appointed facilitators and secretaries of the panchayats in South Goa.

As the app cannot be downloaded at the moment, hard copies of the various options and applications on the app have been given to the participants explaining as to how they should fill up the forms and submit them.

Panchayats have been advised to mobilise a large crowd for the October 2 special gram sabha where the Antyodaya App will be explained to the villagers and till then the village development committees have been advised to start collecting date and even select community research person if necessary.

Once the data is collected, a rough copy of the Antyodaya submission will be made and discussed at another gram sabha to be held either in the last week of October 2018 or first week of November 2018.

After making whatever changes as recommended at this gram sabha, the final submission will be done at the special gram sabha on December 19 but if any panchayat desires to have it on any other day of December it can do so as the last date for submission is December 31.
